Attending one of our meetings can be a fun and exciting time! We’re excited that you’re here to find out what to expect at one of our meetings!

When you first arrive, make sure to sign the attendance book and let the Secretary know you are a visitor. After you sign in you will receive a raffle ticket for our monthly attendance giveaway. This giveaway is for everyone in attendance, both NON-members as well as club members!

Once you have signed in and received your attendance drawing ticket, you can also purchase raffle tickets for the silver dollar drawings. These tickets are available at the front tables as well and are $3.00 for 5 tickets. Each ticket is a chance to win one of the three silver dollars that will be raffled off that evening.

If you are interested in becoming a member, we will have membership applications at the front tables as well. Don’t hesitate to ask one of the folks working the table about how to apply for membership. Membership is currently $8 a year for a senior member 18 years an older, and 2.50 for junior members (17 years and younger). Membership runs from September 1 to August 31. If you join half way through the member ship period then the membership fee is half price. For more info on membership click here.

While you are up front, it may be a good time to look at the items on the auction table. Even If you are not a member, you may still bid in the auction, however, you MUST be a member to enter items into the auction. The official auction rules are posted here.

calltoorderAt 6:00 PM the President will call the meeting to order. From 6:00 PM to about 6:30 PM, we take care of club business. This usually entails addressing any issues or questions from the last meeting, making new announcements, and hearing form the neighboring coin clubs in the area. Up next, we like to welcome our visitors for the evening. So, if you are new DON’T BE SHY!  Next all the juniors are invited up to the front table to receive some cool numismatic IMG 3196goodies which are donated by the club. Next the floor is usually opened up to the membership for show and tells.

After show and tell we usually take a quick 15 minute break for refreshments and to take a one last look at the auction items. Once the meeting is called back to order, we do the monthly attendance drawing, 3 silver dollar drawings, and a progressive drawing for the membership. The rest of the meeting is typically filled with our monthly auction.

Depending on the amount of items being auctioned, the meeting will close some time between 8:30 and 8:45 PM.
